Canada batching about US politics is the pot calling the kettle black. I think I would rather our leader chase women than blow all our money on traitors and treasons. Neither is particularly becoming!

They used to say in Europe that America was different because their best minds went into the business world rather than politics like they did in Europe. Probably some truth in that although they have their share of crazy politicians in Europe too.

I think it's largely a reflection of the dumbing down of society, this whole "celebrity spotlight" thing where worthless people like the Kardashians get worldwide 24 hour coverage. Every aspect of their ridiculous lives put under a microscope and reported to a (seemingly) eager audience. Of zero interest to me.

One thing I will say despite all the proclamations on here that this country or that country is disintegrating/ a laughing stock/finished/doomed - my life hasn't changed one iota with the change from Harper to Trudeau - absolutely zero difference one way or the other. Maybe what's lacking most is people keeping things in perspective?

Can't really just tune out the thing that affects our economy and life almost as much as our own government. If trump goes bananas if it's possible to go more these trade wars etc have huge effects on our trade deals directly and indirectly.

Also if it's acceptable to have a ***** as president it will be to have a pm as one

I watched the 60 min show.
- it likely happened, long time ago
- she goes to his room then, oh damn he wants sex so she reluctantly submits
- she accepted hush money $130,000 just before election
- signed a few times documents, denying anything happened
- she now wants to clear her good name and protect her child
- she will be sued, declaring bankruptcy, then collect from.....?

The questions that were never asked,
- did any one offer you money to come out with your changed story?
- will you sign here tonight a affidavit stateing your changed, now changed, changed story to be true, and without monetary or lifestyle improvement gains ( cars, houses, planes etc)

The case will be tied up in the courts with appeals for ten plus years

The Trump administration so far running ok government, the hooker sideshow happened before presidency and is no worse or even better than presidents prviously. CNN like a little dog yapping at a big one.
Here we have governments with no backbone dealing with indigenous peoples who believe they are important developers of our country while sucking billions off hardworking Canadians, because their ability to build tepees and hunt for food and furs created a nation.
