Yeah I can maybe agree with that but also some ppl get into financial trouble or are just looking for easy money.

Doesn't say how he was caught? Moved the equipment along way from MB.

Perhaps a warrantee claim on the pieces that were sold to the neighbours?

I figure the fine should have been what the lease payments would have been on all the equipment, but the two JD dealers are suing him for the cost of their losses.

Not questioning if he hhas mental issues but if he does and doesn’t know right from wrong steeling is he fit to be looking after cattle?
Seems he has been doing okay but you never know when things could go bad.

The best part is that he had to pay 110k in restitution, but they gave him 5 years to pay! Make the SOB sell his land pay the piper, this mental health argument is bullshit. And the Wife, she had to know what was going on.

The poor guys he sold stolen equipment to, now had the equipment in question taken away but have to wait 5 years for any reimbursement? This system is a ****ing joke.

this is not a liberal justice story.

                rich vs poor justice

it is a different standard of justice .
some poor guy would have got jail time.
                as this guy should have.
                white collar crime ??????

just like when a hedge fund manager steals millions.
                and they get off .
                just wrong.

seems the farm press ( Country guide ) has a way of finding
                these types and glorifying them.
like Pike , and others ,
only to have the wheels fall . off a year or two later

                probably a good conservative too.
you pretty well have to be to be in the country guide , right.

WTF, where did that come from? This guy owns 80 acres. Rented a few quarters of pasture and did lots of custom work. No hired men. His whole yard is ringed in bales two rows high except for the gate.

Among other things he stole many of the bales. He did custom bale hauling with a self loading truck and trailer. After a day of work he always came home after dark with a load of bales that he picked up on the way.

He spent some time at the psych centre. Not sure of his problems. But I am pretty sure he doesn't have much in the way of equity or assets.

This isn't white collar crime anymore than the guys coming in off the road and driving away in your truck.

He might be conservative, but he sure acts like a Liberal.

x2 the system is a joke with no personal accountability. Expect the drama teacher to offer a heart felt apology from John Deere for creating high iron prices and award him a multi-million $ payment. 🙈

Lock him and his wife up if their robberies aren't immediately paid back. Theft above $100,000 should not be taken lightly!!
