    Memories of 1980, zip crop, dryer than dry, plowed down all but SMF Laird Lentil, then 1981 fields blew like a bugger in spring and we seeded into dust, but 3 inch rains in May changed everything. Things can change in an afternoon. Hope history repeats, that part anyway.

            Sold wheat for 6.25 in 1980. Hardly had any. Would be about $18 in today's coinage. That was a bad year. 85F in April if I remember

                    Sophomore year. Freshman year wasn't much better. I wonder what you call it when you're still in school after 39 years?

                            White with snow here but a lot less than normal. The ground froze up with moisture so I am hoping we get through the winter without much snow and we can get the crop seeded early without any rain delays. We will need rain but not before mid June.

                                There's a spray for that!!!!! And it's not called irrigation. But that might be a good trade name for a foliar product that claims a yeild bump when applied in dry conditions. ...lol. (Bayer)

                                    Countless reports have indicated rain is now optional with 50 bpa canola on 2" or less rainfall.

                                    Can it happen 2 years in a row will be the $ million question.
