If canola dries to fast like this year the green can get locked in. A little rain is all it needs to bring the moisture up and let it finish. I don't think you have a thing to lose by getting a rain on it only gain.Originally posted by bucket View PostThe elevator said the hopper I took there was 5.5 green count.....
As for the wheat it's green and puffy overnight they reduce but the moisture could be a problem...
Not enough air bins I have been lucky not to worry about that....this might bite ....
The wheat if you have any air bins I would get as much of that done as possible.

Bucket, rain will wash the chlorophyll out of the canola seed.
Wheat at 18 should be going in an air bin. Save the grade. Dry in time.

Seems you're right Galaxie.... the harder they beat the drum the softer the tune. We don't seem to be in the "zone" here anyway but I am hopeful something meaningful happens. When I mean zone... not this forecasts but every system that tracks through.Originally posted by GALAXIE500 View PostStrictly my opinion on the weather , but the more they talk about rain , the more of a chance that we won't get all that much. Hope I am wrong !Last edited by farmaholic; Sep 12, 2017, 07:45.
