This whole pipeline talk is very much over played. Oil still seems to find a home at the end of the day. These high cost oil producers that complain about their discounts (ie basis) and talk like a pipeline will solve all their high cost issues is the same as Gary Pike blaming the lack of capital as his downfall. At the end of the day it's the high cost that is the issue. Technology has advanced and left the tar sand oil behind. It happens in other industries all the time. Adapt or die a slow death.

I bet it has more to do with cap Ex spending than pipelines. These companies are all about drilling the stock market first and drill for oil second. Ie crescent borrow energy
