Maybe Rent a smaller motor home. A friend told me they rented one for 2 weeks, with 6 Chinese women to Toronto and Niagra for $750, no mileage charge.

6 Chinese women? Lol. Quite a trip. They don't take up much room. You could cram them into a Honda CRV, which stands for ChInese Recreational Vehicle.

Mallee, I'm curious as to why you want a truck? It would be much cheaper to rent a car (not muscle or exotic/luxury). I think certain SUVs would be cheaper as well.

I say, if you're looking for the experience, go for it. Life is too short. Both the Ram and the Silverado are nice. I like the Chev.

I'm not from Alberta, but yes, you will be on the east side of the Rockies for that excursion.

Mallee, if you are going to Dawson, for the tourist route I would try and take highway 93 from Banff to Jasper and then up to Dawson. Supposed to be a very nice drive if wanting to see the rockies. At least that is what I have heard, I have not even done that drive! Maybe others have though...
