Are we having FUN YET? And here the fields are not in any condition to be seeded. Lumpy after working, wet sticky MUD. Hellish compacted tracks, ruts! Click image for larger version

and another scenario is zero acres seeded and a week of weather needed to do anything at all . crop still out , ruts and water all over hells half acre . could always be worse

NO WORRIES, I'm sure CANOLA SEED will be cheaper, as the futures prices are down $5-6/tonne this morning.

farrma, you lucky farmer, your ungerminated canola seed means, you only have to buy 3 lbs to reseed, instead of 5 lbs.

BTW, this cold weather will help preserve your moisture, and even better news, (perhaps just speaking for our area), the temps are forecast to be below normal for the next two weeks !

            glowball eiffing warming !

oh ya, soybean love cold ground !

Works well Tweety or you can leave if for the flea Beatles and have it struggle on it own for the next 7-10 days .

Been there and done it , saved more than a few canola crops .

Problem with flea Beatles is if you have stripped Beatles after a frost they will go after the stem when not much leaf matter .
A few bites on the stem then there is zero chance that canola comes back at all .
But whatever you think Tweety , your the expert .
I know from experience, not a book

Lost a few canola soldiers last night, a large number have emerged today. They are calling for -2 again hope that doesn't mean -6 again.

Nuked over half our plants on the first 15% of canola we seeded. True leaves are even black. Not just the cotyledons. Oh gully. Just finishing seeding tomorrow. So wait and see how they look Monday. Then maybe start again.
                      The low was -4.
