The continuation of the CWB was inevitable too. Look how that turned out.

Yes, I've seen plenty bad mouthing, with you being one of the main culprits. However I don't see this as a beef versus grain issue. It involves all in agriculture - I use fuel and machinery and manage land so am as just as involved and impacted as anyone.

Why label ag as a big polluter when all we are doing is trying to feed the world there is just a few days of food supply in the world of 9 billion people and growing. Only a true idiot would tax food producers and the same idiots will be the first to whine when there is food shortages.

With all due respect grassfarmer, you should be spending your time and efforts lobbying the enviromentalists because they've got your cow's ass squarely in their sights.

            The farm
income crisis is the result of wealth
            extraction by powerful agribusi-
            ness corporations. Farmers have
            two problems: high emissions and
high costs. Curbing input use can
help solve both. A carbon tax-and-
            refund system can help reduce
            emissions, increase incomes, and
            save family farms.

2/3way thru the read knew it was a nfu oped.
            Lets stop buying fertilizer. Brilliant.
Collection and redistribution by govt. Cost free???
Lets go back to 1926?? Right....
That whole paper is a Pravda.

Heres what will save family farms.
Not becoming wealthy by selling them!!! Penalizing wealth is the perfect way to save the small farm.

When did being free go out of style??

No point in lobbying environmentalists stonepicker they don't make the rules - the Government does. So a little targeted lobbying of people in positions of power re any misconceptions they might have about cattle and their effect on the environment. I can, and do, lobby for that but in reality this is only a small and relatively insignificant part of the larger and more important discussion around climate change/ it's affect on agriculture and a carbon tax.
