Ha! Never too concerned about wildlife damage here. They will take their share and not much you can do about it as Blue Fargo said.
It's amazing how the geese clean up grain. In the fall they will work in pea and barley fields till you can hardly find a seed anywhere
If you have 100,000 snow geese on your property at 5-7 pounds a piece depending on species that's like five to seven hundred 1000 pound steers. They can do a lot of damage

Always said Rain makes Grain year one but then excess rain makes mud and mud year after year makes shit.

Good luck with the harvest that never ends.

We had a dryer winter with limited snow and rain since the October shit show. Actually have hopes up this can be a decent spring. But every one of my neighbours is thinking the same thing watch the Easter weekend we get a dump of wet soaking shit to ruin a great spring.

Time will tell for us but so far this farmer has a smile.

If remember right, AB had just under 1M. Not hard to believe. 1000 x 1000. Some pockets are 50%.
Add a few for people with no ins.

Everyone around here had about 20% of their acres left out. By my calculations that is about 500,000ac in this crop district(7A) alone.

Going to be a tough grind unless the forecast changes dramatically , let alone the field work that needs to be done in some areas just to get ready for seeding.
