I know what you are saying ....but Canada as one of the younger nations on this planet was tearing out a rail system the envy of the world .....while those scandanavian countries were making theirs better....hence some of the infrastructure issues we are facing today.....with a heftier price tag...

I wouldnt know. Maybe some of their social and economic policies are great. But as we are the sum total of our experiences, they have their culture and we have ours.
Other than the shared commonalities of western history, we have nothing else in common.
We seem to be trying our damndest to emulate Europe. Can it be done under one flag? Canada First!

The price of absolutely everything will go up, already happening. But Stats Can will continue to say the inflation rate is 1%. What a farce!

Carbon copy. (not going to get there at this rate).

You have to realize that you shot your premise, "carbon taxes are a method to reduce fossil energy use and carbon emissions", all to hell. 60% of consumers are unaffected by the carbon tax, as they are being rebated.

How can 40% of some arbitrated wealth figure be expected to save the planet from a rise of CO2 level?

The only way this is going to work for Canada is that Canada goes on a war footing against CO2, gets out the energy ration coupons per individual, and per industry users for 100% of Canadians.

Are you up for it cc.? Because if you are not, you are not serious about the hundreds of carbon copy posts you have presented to this forum.
