The wheat growers broke this story. More good work from that group. Very unlikely the money will actually be returned to farmers. But should force a fee reduction on outbound inspections.
I really like the direction of the WCWG these days. They are bringing to light issues that affect all producers. My understanding is they are funded mainly by annual membership fees. If your not a member you should seriously consider it. There are check off funded groups with thousands of times more money to work with that are doing nothing for producers.

Pretty hard to call someone else a pig when your snout is in the same trough!

After the carbon tax issue and now the excessive CGC fees, the wheat growers are proving to be an excellent group.

Why are our commodity check off groups not speaking out against the carbon tax?

They are all sunning their rear ends just like Pallister. Think I might have offended them, oh no!

Meanwhile farmers are taking a beating on wheat grading (fus, vomi) and now down to very minimal if any net returns .
This drain of farmers money is becoming sickening.

Must make the guys that were shorted by Naber Specialty Grains feel sick, knowing that CGC didn't do due diligence and make sure they were covered then find out CGC it self is sitting on a cool $100mil.

Interesting. ...I don't technically own the grain after I open my semi slides at the elevator but the money collected at the west coast by the CGC is my responsibility. ....but when a guy asks for a basis based on Vancouver prices because we also pay the freight there ....I am out to lunch and wrapped in foil....
