The PM advisor, Gerald Butts made Ontario have the largest non-sovereign debt......he now wants a second chance with Canada and his "budgets will balance themself" philosophy.

That's the case with most elections nowadays it seems - a problem of the media age we live in. The progression to reality TV stars standing for political office is just a further dumbing down of our political system. If we elect them we get the Government we deserve though.

Think if Trump and a Republican congress are successful on avoiding carbon tax and similar measures, our govt will have little choice other than to back off on plans.
Political and public pressure will force us to become more of a follower.

Yep. People deserve the govt they vote for. I'm young enough but old enough not to be classed as a millennial. Thank ****ing God. I know of hard working independent ones but God there are some entitled useless brats out there who now hold the balance of power. They've never had it hard nor had to be accountable to anyone nor themselves. Not until we are plunged into despair will their minds or sense of entitlement change. It's not only urban people but also rural people. With the oil patch in the crapper and little work to be had it is near impossible to get some of these young guys to take a lower pay job. They'd sooner sit in their misery than work. I have a few kids and what we get for a monthly cheque is crazy. I'm at the lower end of income and my wife is stay at home so it definitely helps but in the grande scheme it isn't sustainable. How many other carrots out there to buy votes? I know this extra money we'll probably pay back in higher taxes anyway. It's all a shell game. They'll give you this fat cheque, price carbon which increases living expenses, and in the end you're worse off cause you pay more income tax and what's left after is less. One way or another you pay more. Only way I see I can trim expenses is to not participate in the economy ie don't buy shit but that's impossible with my family. If I was single like before I'd heat with a grain stove and eat my own grown food and become a hermit of sorts. Yeah right.

Brad Wall committed himself, and his government, for whatever reason, into trading jobs for a small resource revenue take. I believe that
history will, and has indicated that that was not a wise strategy considering the downturn in the economy that always arrives, but he owns the decision, and Sk. owns the debt. Perhaps that hurt will force him out.

I believe, however, that he has taken the right decision to contest JT's federal government decision to tax Sk. citizen's on carbon. Pulling money out of a citizen's right pocket to put it into the left pocket, or someone else's left pocket is silly. You only aid the continuation of a bloated public service. That appears to be what you object to, is it not?

I'm, also, glad to hear that you believe that carbon taxing is a "screw up". History will show that JT federal policies of debt, and carbon will put Canada "justin trouble".

Don't become a patsy, and take his blame for either.
