Much nicer to combine than peas by a country mile. I have a neighbor who always straight cuts his canola. This year he grew a RR variety and desiccated it with heat. It has been sprayed for almost a month still testing over 14. Apparently the heat didn't work, anybody else have this happen?
Word around here is standing canola isn't doing diddly. Staying tough and staying green. Stuff in swaths is doing much better.

Still crawling along some heavy Canola swaths. We have a couple of demos getting the super test. We need a couple of days yet.

Decided standing canola not for me after this year. Extra bushels arent worth the slower acres per combine risk. Only so many days suitable for standing anything. Equinox days take your canola swaths. 23% left here.

Never mind the standing canola, wondering if the cleavers will ripen in the standing stuff around here.

Stanging is in the bin here, so unable to comment. May need a good frost to get back in swaths here. Freeze-dry may be the method of 2016 harvest. We consider ourselves lucky to have lots of dry harvest weather so far in heavy stand. Next year will be different -right?

I have 600 ac to go and three bins with water running out of the bolt holes. What a bullshit fall, I don't think a single bushel came off dry after the peas.
