"I'm saying I thought about selling back a few years ago at the peak! But really if you have what you need and bought to retire easily, why sell the asset!"

So you knew we had peaked out a couple of years ago, isn't that kind of an arm chair quarterback remark at this point? If "you have what you need and bought to retire easily" , why all the constant negative posts, I'm sure many farmers would be quite happy to be in your situation!

It's very hard to figure you out!

Good for him for making such a sound investment and getting out at the highs. We could be in a down turn for another 10 to 15 years... remember the late 80's to 2002? Sell it out and enjoy life, let the hutts have it all.

Sorta confused where the "downturn" is happening honestly. I thought it would be by now too but it sure isn't on our area.
        Actually the opposite.
Latest land sale a touch higher again than the last one.
Defiantly the amount of land changing hands has slowed down but the odd 1/4 that sells is bringing more every time one or two sell.

I wonder what they're netting? I "assume" some of the dirt would have been bought cheap compared to today's standards. Regardless. ....good for them.

So does the pig boss or the straw boss get the house?

Not bad for a nine year farming stint. Makes me wonder about the whole, real story.
