Seems like a the grain companies better get there cleaners tuned up if they want to stay in the game. We deliver most of our canola with less than 2% dockage. It would not take much more than a scalping to pull out 1%. They are not worried about small canola just pods and stocks. Seems like our customer has a standard and we should be jumping to maintain that market. Some other country will be glad to fill our share if we do not. We have allot more to loose than China.

Commercially clean. What a joke. It is commercially clean when the farmer sells it and then the grain companies make a mess of it. Who is this costing again?

A 2 billion dollar customer..hard to believe. Thank you Mr. grain company.

Routinely receive dockage results of 1-2% at crusher. Elevator bids have to be significantly higher to get our canola business.

Been hauling to crushers for years-either Lloyd or Clavet. Rare to have dockage over 2% and have had less than 1%. Terminals are not competive and I honestly don't know how they buy any canola.
Obviously this is add-back done by the grain cos, and the canola council president saying 1% can't be done...it's almost that off the combine! Tell the grain cos to do the cleaning we pay for, ship our customer clean canola and it's all good. Canola council runs on farmer money-it's about time they acted like it.

First of all the canola council is is a mouth piece for graincos, and chemcos, not the farmer. Otherwise the Canola council would be asking why the linecos dump dockage i to canolal at export? Maybe we need the grain commision to study what the farm delivered dockage really is, and how much garbage is thrown into it at vancouver? Obviously the canola council wont take this initiative.

The buyers can contact small shippers and have uncontaminated product anytime. All they have to do is go to Sask Trade and they'll get a list of reliable shippers who have proven for many years that they ship quality. They want cheap product and they get what they pay for.

The Canola council won't piss on the Grain Companies it works for them not us farmers. Wake up boys its a fact.

The grain companies got caught with their pants down again.

Dockage and cleaning on grain then add shit back in and ship out.

Its all about them making money off our backs.

From the TFH&CTS.....why is the government to fixing the problem for the grain cos. ?

Add some cleaners or quit adding in shit to piss the Chinese off?

Maybe the government ought to be sitting down with the graincos for once?

1 percent is a bit tight to be sure but maybe the Chinese have had enough.

The Chinese must run our canola thru a cleaning process before processing further . ?

Farmers here have paid the costs to ensure quality product....I think the problem is between the grates on the prairies and the spout at the coast.

It would be interesting to get an opinion from domestic crushers about this issue. ?

But I think the costs like shit are rolling downhill.

There may come a day when we have no trade with China. If you follow international settlements and stuff related you see the world splitting into two blocks and I think we just lost turkey. If we lose Germany it's all over. Rest of Europe,Middle East,Africa. Putin and sco win
