We don't need no stinking aid.

Can honestly say I'm jealous (and nolstagic)of Freewheat. At least the spraying mystery was solved. Was calling bs on that one.
I sounded exactly like him on the mover until I blew out a knee moving one. Make one yourself. Or stick to 6" augers.

Interesting the aid discussion got more posts in a shorter time than any _ _ _ discussion ever did. And that Cuban is decidedly alone in his opinion. A rare concensus.

I think with the discussion on MCOOL and WTO in the US right now, any ad hoc aid given to farmers would be immediately countervailed by US lawmakers.

It's no secret that when TPP goes ahead, the Americans are going to aggressively target supply management.

I'll second the auger mover. Decisions are often made on needs vs wants. Well you need an auger mover.

Lol. Need to start a new thread on the auger mover I guess. It would be fairly easy to build one for a tiny fraction of what they sell for. I may have to think more seriously of it. I am just a strong, relatively young guy, and have well balanced augers which are pretty easy to move. But I can see where they would be handy, it's not that. It is more financial. I have a lot of needs around here. An auger mover has not even been remotely on my radar, you know?

The rest won't matter if you have a sore back.

Move that up your priority list.

Don't let anyone here say they told you so on that issue. You will live to regret it.

You sound so much like me 25 years ago it's scary. If you want I can tell you what shape your body will be in at my age. Be careful you must, young padowan.

Lol i use to think I was strong could put a 450 pound snowmobile into the back of truck by myself but one year pulling a big auger up an incline i hurt the back processed to shovel out the square bin of chickpeas to the custom trucker and went into harvest with a witha pain out of Dante's inferno.

1000 acres of lentil swathing in a case ih four thousand with no ac,countless muscle relaxers,no real sleep well no such thing as tough when it comes to the back.

Talk the hawes guy bob i think? Great guy good mover pretty sure he would sell you the major components. Make sure you get the clutch that keeps the motor going but the auger on or off.

Freewheat, You are provided with one body in a lifetime, do what you can to preserve its integrity. Don't wear it out prematurely. Treat it like the temple it is. Heed the advice of those who went before you or...
