A question for Ag ministers MP's and Mla's

    Reading in different trade publications
    around the world agrimoney,oilworld etc.
Do you clowns feel good about life when
you see hear and read our transportation
system being spoken of in almost third
    world terms?

It is high time that our goverments look after the transportation problems we are having . Billions of dollar are being lost by western grain producers. We will need shipping capacity of 70 million tonnes in the long haul production is going up fast.transportation has to keep up. We need some out of the box thinking.

      My MP is David Anderson.

One of his first questions out of his mouth was if I was willing to pay commercial freight rates on grain?

We know the railways want to remove the revenue cap and they will hold farmers hostage to get it.

Unfortunately, I thought conservative MPs had a vested interest in ensuring that penalties would lie directly on the railways and grain companies for logistics.

They want to put the bill directly on the farmers either by basis or freight rates.

We a system that once you sign a contract for grain, you take it to the bank, 100 percent full value, backed by the government. Repaid when the grain is delivered regardles of crop year. When the government doesn't get there money back they will start doing something about this mess.

Ultimately, any way I look at this, the movement of grain is key to make the system work.

Most MPs have now been paid enough to not care or ignore the problem.

Anyone that can praise the CEO of a railway that cut 30 percent of the rolling stock, in a country that requires the rails to move commodities to export is simply on the take or a ****ing moron at best.

X 2 bucket, Harrison should be tried for treason.
Sent a dozen emails with all kinds of facts and figures, quotes, news items.
Only two acknowledgements, Ralph and Trost. Rest of Cons MP's and MLA's don't give a sh*t even to auto reply to an email that bites their A*S.
        Try the phone, anyone else?

Who owns the railbed, CP shareholder's or we the people? If it
is us then joint running rights are here. Now we need a company
that can pull a train through the mountains. I wonder if one of
the short lines has enough power to do it.

The sad part is that you shouldn't have to be emailing anything to the MPs.

With their ridiculous salaries and staff they should be well aware of any problems long before it hits the newswires.

The fact that MPs act stupid about the problems is getting a little old and quite frankly shows their ignorance to the people that voted for them.

With the number of locomotives sitting idle by that genius Hunter Harrison, it shouldn't be that hard to find pulling power.

More than likely as much as he ******* about the locomotives, he will want full retail for them. And by doing so be given a fat bonus by selling off locomotives when his company needs them the most.

David Anderson informed me that no one wants to put together a competetive railroad to run the rails. I think the puppetmasters are telling him that. There is a tonne of money to be made if joint running rights were implemented. OR it becomes a fact the railways are overcharging.

Government involvement. Yep. Nationalize the railways again, put in the people that give a shit about the country as a whole and watch Canada become what it should be.

Oh wait. We have buffoons running the country. Forget what I just said.

I'm tempted to give up the revenue cap
in exchange for OPEN running rights. I
have a feeling that we end up back to
square one though with the high value
products bidding up rail space. You
would think with all this growing
forward that the Harper government has
been doing that he would have figured
out how to keep the money flowing into
                western Canada.

Don't worry I'm from the government and
                I'm here to help. Haha

Can we do a hostile takeover? Where the shareholders agree to sell us the railroad?

CP 30 billion. CN 50 billion. Hmmm what would it take to get some justice.

I figured a 25% share in CP would cost
$42/ac for every cultivated acre in
western canada. 25% should be enough to
                      shake a few branches.

those people know how to be things done.....!

When you go into most MPs offices they have a
big board with editorials and relevant articles cut
and pinned up. Despite our HUGE mess with
logistics there is little, barely anything from farm
groups. Grain Growers of Can had a little whimper
out that lacked any real fire. KAP in MB has been
most vocal with a good news release but still not
                              holding railways accountable.

MPs need to see REAL anger, and REAL emotion
from farm orgs. Embarrass the railways.
Embarrass Hunter Harrison for his lack of vision
corporate raiding style of management. Are there
any farm organizations out there with any balls
lately? They need to fill those bulletin boards with
                              impassioned opinion!
