the first thing whether it be man or woman, is do I know this person.

If it's someone I know and I spot them from a distance, I would take note of their body lanquage, how they walk, how they carry themselves and where they are looking.

Once eye contact is made, I focus soley on the face, usually the mouth.
The eyes can sometimes mislead but the mouth always tells the story. You can tell the difference between a genuine happy smile and a just for show smile. So look at the mouth first then in combination with the eyes to get a true picture of who's in front of you. These facial "microexpressions" reveal alot about a person.
