Agstar the CWB may not be all as bad as I think they are but you know if we do not put pressure on them as well and make demands then nothing will improve and they should be able to do better. Right now my soft wheat fixed price is down to something like 3 dollars per bushel, really something is not right here. Hopefully no one took out the cash plus on soft wheat it is no better. This low soft wheat price is making all the feed markets crash, they should be running the price higher not running the price lower.

Actually agstar it can work in reverse as well. Maybe if farmers were not so quick to sign with the cargills with production contracts they would have to sweeten the deal. I agree - those production contracts are a bad thing but boycotting them or not signing production contracts for next year sends the same message.

Personally I like to tease the cargill reps with my grain. They say great things but I have heard their promises don't mean much. So I let them call and listen to their jiberish while I am hauling somewhere else - It fills the time in the truck.

We should demand better of all we deal with including the CWB. The problem is leverage, individual farmers do not have leverage.

With every one else but the CWB we have the ability to say "no". As long as we have that we have all the leverage that we need.
