everyone from all regions suffer some catastrophe short or long term. no one said it cant be that wet. the trick is to assess and adapt and not whine like a preschooler over and over. sit in hawaii during the winter is great all should have the opportunity. but not to farm the same way and bitch the rest of the year. oh conditions are perfect here.

Timing is everything, a month from now 5 inches would soak up. Just like in 2007, 2010, for us, just a month early to prevent planting/mud spraying.
Again got 1/10" to settle dust 30 minutes ago, lots of thunder, conditions ideal, after spraying done , more please.

Sask3 in central Albwrta east of red deer. Finished seeding May 14. Have had 4.2 inches of rain in the last 14 days. Up to that point it was very dry. My cow pastures and hay land are very thankful for the rain. First seeded peas 6 th node sprayed today. Looking good. Low areas under water. Wheat 4th leaf and tillering. Canola a bit slow coming up was seeded at about 11/4 to 11/2 to reach moisture, hurt speed of germination. Barley coming good. Funny thing seeded lots of low areas not seeded in many years. Under water again but still thankful for the moisture. The amount of mud you speak of doesn't sound fun. I have a neighbor who's family farms in the Yorkton area, always interesting to hear stories from different areas. Have a good day:-)

Yes farming isn't easy no one said it was just trying to show that its not all Great out there some miss rain some get excess rain some cant seed some are done in record time. Farming if it was easy even Broad ass would have won.
