Anywhere from 5 to 7 inches now in the Edm region since May 19. Guessing seeding will not be completed here this year. Wonder what that will do to the peas? There were some nice fields of them a few days ago but fields starting to flood now.

Sounds like many of you will understand the 2007, 2010, 2012 FLOODS we had and missed most of the prairies.
Sicking, disheartening isn't? 2010 was the low point in my 45 year career. Unfortunately it flooded BEFORE half the crop was seeded in this area, or luckily, because it was shit anyway.
And forecast suggests N of #16 get SFA, and some would be great.Last edited by fjlip; May 30, 2016, 18:06.

WTF...why is it some people always get drenched and others not so much. So far not much here and we really are ok without any right now. ....but like hobbyfrmr says.....
We'll see how much when its over.
fj, are you having germination/emergence problems because it got too dry on top?
We had the odd spots where some didn't come up but the last .91inches is curing that. The stuff(majority)that came up first and this second flush and by far the minority won't be so far apart in staging that it will pose a big problem. Seems to be turning out alright in spite of myselfLast edited by farmaholic; May 30, 2016, 21:11.

Bring it on. Forecast to get 2" here and I'll take it happily. Got 1.6" last week but it soaked in and no recharge of any sloughs/dugouts.
