    Here, everything was seeded "into" moisture, it's what happened after that could be causing the problem. Hot, dry, windy conditions.....relentless...day after day. Reprieve now though, although no precip since last 7.8 tenths (oh so grateful for that one). Canola is poking through but as stated before, afraid to look to see if alot could be stranded in dried out ground.

    Flea beetles chewing my Dad's radishes off, told
    him he should have had the seed treated with Lumiderm. Instead he just used some insecticide dust....hmmmm?

      73 mm 20 miles east of Edmonton since Thursday morn. Unprecedented 4 day rain in the last several years !! After a record warm and dry winter and spring. We have 10% left to seed, but it will be awhile as forecast is for showers until Thursday.

          sumdumguy, I think the cold air already condensed/squeezed most of the moisture out of this system in Alta, we will get the leftovers that fall off the table, if there are any!

            Still not a lot here at farm, getting more just east of here but it is nice to be on the back side of this system finally .
            Good rain building and coming in from NE

              we are getting a dandy. well passed our first inch and near two already mother nature at its best. seed hawk shining twice. during seeding and now all clean and shiny from the rain.

                      108 mm or 4,25 in and the sun came out this afternoon 13 deg c and all soaked in no runoff dopughouts still need water but we are way better off than before. NE edmonton
