This whole debate about the film tax credit is a joke

As Brad Wall explained, the new program includes all arts and is a grant application format

Puppet NDP Cam can only complain because its something another party has done.

Assuming Brad would do the same if he was the opposition.

Really wish politics would end the finger pointing and switch to a more responsible approach with constructive critisism instead the debate cow shit we saw the other night

          No offence cattle guys lol

I realize we reached beyond our borders to fill some the positions, but we accept "talent and ability" from anywhere!

Richard, this govt cancelled film tax credit because it was against Subsidies.
              And then Creates a Subsidy
              to help arts. WTF

Is there an Anti Spin, Anti Bullshit portfolio ? I am pretty sure this govt DOES NOT have anyone in this portfolio.
              So I pick me. LOL

by the way this is a Flat out subsidy whereas before it was a Tax credit.

This costs govt revenue, much more than previous program. But Brad never told us that

I would be most comfortable in the peanut gallery. Or one of those sqwaky geese making noise and being just plain old unproductive and annoying.

Mustard I don't see the difference.

Provide a tax credit and it may appear that it only provides a benefit when the arts company files the tax return

Send out a grant and its all spent to pay for goods and services, payroll, fuel and supplies etc etc etc creating all kinds of fed & provincial taxes

What am I missing as this is how it think it through

A tax credit is available after you spent your own money.

A grant is you apply. If they deny it you don't spend any money. If they approve it they spend taxpayers dollars.

                      A bit of a difference.
