Year End for taxes, Is overlap allowed?

Hoppy, things have to be lower than grim to collect Ag-stab benefits. Olympic averages and the lower of that or allow eligible expenses makes it pretty tough. It is hardly worth being in, it isn't. I don't know anyone that collected in a long time...or at least they never boasted about it.

Should have mentioned accrual accounting which gives true picture of profit and loss and used for agristability.
Suspect that most who collect do not talk about it on a forum like this.
United States dept of agric took close look at agristability, thought it would encourage risky behaviour but brought in subsidized revenue insurance which is not that much different.

Even locally I haven't heard of anyone collecting. My goodness, even if people farm the program they won't be around long.... and they shouldn't be either.

04 frost last time for us. Program was better designed for payouts then. After the fact they calculated we were overpaid and had to repay some of the benefit.
