Sask wheat pool elevator in hodgeville should never have been built there in the first place. Dead end rail line, secondary garbage highway since the 1970's and built in a swamp which created operational problems at the elevator from the get go. Much more suitable locations were suggested when it was built but the realty was the SWP delegate at the time from that area seemed to carry a lot of wait with the organization and did not want to listen to reason and the rest is history The rail line retention committee which involved all the surrounding municipalities explored every plausible scenario that might be economically viable to retain the rail line from Mossbank to Hodgeville and found inadequate support from local producers.
