Harper tried in vain to control the media. In the end he was not successful. Levant is popular with a small set of extremists but has little impact elsewhere. In politics you have to put up with irritating, egotistical whiners like Levant. It is best not to give them any free publicity by trying to ban them.

The Rebel couldn't wish for more publicity. And Sheila Gunn Reid's book about the destroyer "Queen of Alberta" will sell continue to faster than the printers can run it off.

I was looking at the Toronto sun website and there was an interesting article on a new opinion poll commissioned by the Motreal Economic Institute which found 59% of Quebecers would like their oil to come from Alberta. The reason I bring this up is that I searched CBC's website and I couldn't find any information on this poll. So is this a coincidence or is it possible the CBC isn't as objective as some believe.
