Reminds me of a famous hedge fund manger questioning a us senator a while back about the bailouts.

senator-the number doesn't matter its a journal entry

manger-why not make it count and make it ten times higher

    senator-oh no,no we can't do that

Which inevitably leads to this tune, who i know ever likes

Maybe some of the Sask party wants to buy farmland so that will help their decision on restricting investment money coming into our province to buy land.Without outside investment we may as well have a NDP government.

        Firstly - negotiation
        2nd arbitration
        3rd expropriation

If you know that a potash mine, a oil pipeline, or say a highway was going to be built, on your farm wouldn't the land value go up substantially?

What is the correct process, and or the right premiums?
It's easy to scrutinize the end result, what are the solutions, scrap the project? Hindsight is always 20:20

The #2 above should say mediation.

Wise guy, you should be buying, sell to young up start neighbour kid, Saudi's, or Pike, etc. It's not necessarily who you sell to it's about timing.

What would the Regina land have sold for 5 years ago? If you see opportunity it's not bad business to ask or make an offer you never know

I know a farmer, he sold his land a few years ago at half the price of what it would sell for today. He says you would believe how many people ask or tell him" I bet you wish you would have waited and sold your land now at today's prices" his reply is nope! I got top price when I sold it, I've been able to more forward and do the things I wanted and needed to do!
An awesome response! Real life and appropriate.

I could have substituted Pike for a pension fund, but chose not too. I do feel bad for those involved who didn't receive want was expected or anticipated, corruption or fraud?

Funny how government departments are skinflints when paying regular Sask citizens for their land, but some "special" folks are exempt from these normal processes.

Sniff, sniff, sniff, pee-ew. What is that smell

I didn't read super close but I think this article is missing a critical piece of the puzzle in that it has been reported that Tappauf and Boyd know each other personally or through some other business relationship.

                      Easier to hide the kickbacks.
