quinclorac not registered on canola , kills alfalfa dead (we grow w alfalfa for seed) sure don't want flax in that . oh and in case you don't know quinclorac is not cheap and also has a residue

we do swath , all the time , but not everything is about me , to each his own . if someone wants to straight cut canola his choice shouldn't be made harder because they are allowed a percentage of RR canola in every $600 bag of invigor

Freedom of choice is both a good and bad thing.

I really wish research was going on to derive a new chemistry like glyphosate or glufosinate. All the money is going into biotech and nothing into chemistry. Repackaging 25 year old chemicals and coming up with more stupid names for them is not innovation.

That's the real problem, stagnation for over 20 years in ag chemistry.

If you are willing to sell to ADM - possibly other crushers, you can use quinclorac.

Agreed tweety , a good example is chemistry for pulse crops, group 2's - lipstick on a pig for 15 years.

Agreed. When we cant use glyphosate anymore were in trouble.

I guess the ChemCos will have to lobby to be able to omit, the now mandatory, "Guarantee Statement" which lists the active ingredients and their concentrations on the label so us simple farmers will think every time there is a new product name it MUST be a new "chemical".

....and then there is prepackaging tank mixes.

              ....and then there is generics.

Thank goodness for a regulatory agency/watchdog. Could you imagine the mysteries otherwise!

Farmers losing the use of glyphosate.....and then Atlas shrugs.

All the big Chem cos realized some years back that bringing new chemistry to market cost more than buying seed companies and developing new biotech traits. Last new herbicide is what; pyrasulfatole (infinity)?
