Weber has Velva N.D. canola at $10.23 CAD, converted to USD is $7.23 ... is that possible?

So are we really doing that bad in comparison?

July about $500... Your $425 plus meal and margin?

8-9 months before we get anymore added to Canada's supply.

What are you holding out for? $12,00

Canola meal trades at 75 percent the price of soymeal in California. 245/t. It was 357 last Jan.

Once the freight to Calif is backed off I wonder what the crusher is getting for it.

Not holding for $12. But $11.40 will do. Haven't sold any yet. I will get it soon. Unless SA stays dry. Then i will hold for more.

Priced out a new S680 with pickup and 35ft straight cut earlier this fall. Shocked at price then. Now worse. $850,000 list CDN. Suddenly, canola seems too cheap.

Getting a bit off track here but what is that thing worth 5 years/1250 hrs later? List price.... a starting point and from an alternate universe.....give me a break. Buy a good used combine AND some land. Depreciating junk!

But you make a good argument why our grains should be worth more.

                  Or new combines less.
RBrothers was selling them out with a pickup front for around 300K or less this year.

Tuesday the nearby basis at the crush plant improved. Somebody must have went up and measured the bins!

...yet futures went down today. Got "some" priced out in July at my target before it fell.

farming101...your chart showing current year deliveries to stocks might explain the basis improvement. Compared to last year there doesn't appear to be much of a cushion?
