        I remember in the mid 1980's... before GMO varieties... in Pioneer plots Canola bumping well over 80bu/ac then... Global a winter variety if I recall correctly. Seeded May 10... Harvested Oct 5. no frost between. If resistance to frost was bred in... Canola could gain 20 percent.

            Heard a scientist was being imported for genetic seed research....non pollinated seed, to make farmers more money....yeah...ok...you betcha...

              The vast majority of Canola varieties are self pollinating now... which is why Nexera and regular Canola can be side by side... and not reck the Nexera Oil quality. Seed Hybrids need pollinating to create the Hybrid... bees pollination of Canola is not needed in commercial production of hybrid varieties.
