            15 years ago swathers got more comfortable and well built for practically all crop conditions. They have only improved from there. I dont understand why farmers just keep the older stuff and have their employees repair/rebuild worn parts. Its just a swather, it sits in the shed for 10 months of the year.

              MacDon BIG change was only 8 years ago, great machines since then. Most farm equip is used 200 hours per year and sits parked the other 8560 hours. No way cost effective!

                Good point hobby. As sf3 said the trade up will cost him 300k. For 100k build a heated shop and keep two full time employees year round working on equipment, and experienced enough to fix anything at harvest time
