Hey Klause, what do you carry for cards? Lately i've found Petro-Pass to be very competitive in most of SK, Calgary, Edmonton, and the Lower Mainland. UFA is unbeatable at Edson, and Coop is generally on the ball in Medicine Hat, Moose Jaw, and Regina.

Minot ND average price is 2.28 per US Gallon (3.78L) at FX 1.35 = .814 CAD cents per litre.

California average is 2.829 per US gallon at 1.35 FX = 1.01 CAD per litre

Gas Buddy shows lowest price in Regina is .949 cents per litre at Regina Messenger 1609 Halifax St.

One way to tell if fuel prices are too high is to watch usage. Based on the fact that trucks and large SUVs (not used for actual work) are popular, indicates fuel prices are still quite low.

In small towns it is still quite common to see people leaving their engines running while they shop, watch a hockey game, have coffee, pickup coffee at Tim's etc. This is another indication that fuel prices are low or consumers don't seem to care.

Prices Down interstate 15... up to $2.80US USG. So not much different than Alberta.

I AM VERY pleased with federated coop... the quality and service is superb. Thanks to them they keep the big multis in line. Plus very nice rebates at year end!

Agree chuckchuck. Lots of pickups and gas guzzling suvs on the road. I think gas needs to hit $2.00 per liter in order to change consumer behaviour.

Tom, your talking gas at the highway pump in California, but farmers in the mid west buy tanker loads of farm fuel for $1.70.

                  Samhill,

We were buying diesel this fall for prices by the tanker load... not much more... and we pay more tax!

So, how much tax does your operation pay by way of fuel tax?
Does farm fuel tax pay for highways, in addition to non farm tax for highways?
