free, why don't you just get another 23 ? they have gotten quite cheap now. we had the 1688 prior to a 23 , then ran two 23's for a while . the 1688 sure is a lot smaller combine . they just didn't have enough hp for the kinda straw were growing now . I think you probably grow way too much straw , same as us . we're always on the wet side also

Should finish sunday all goes well. HRS finally dry. Wasnt waiting, just got dry now. Pea stubble tilled. Harrowing started. Gotta decide where edge is going down this fall.
Have to run a guy off this morning, hate it but he pushed me too far.

Were down today to 18 quarters left finally dry yesterday. But talked to a guy north of me and he couldn't go must have been more rain that way. Hit and miss.

Freewheat, just get a good low houred CAT 470r or 460r.

With your tough conditions it'll go through so much faster and you won't have constant breakdowns which I'm guessing are from tough straw?
