Yes they think they are doing you a "Favor" by offering 10 cent premium on canola or wheat..OR selling seed for the "same over priced" price as last yr..
      Buy now, shortage tomorrow...

Order your Bourgault stuff 2 yrs ahead..

      Total B.S.

Old neighbour taught me years ago, it works both ways. You want fair price, deliver fair grain. He pulled into my yard as I was trying to blend in some heated grain. Lesson learned, I ship quality grain and also expect quality back to farm meaning fertilizer seed etc.

Every once in a while my father would mention the four letter "F" word. And it was when he was disgusted with the way he/we as Producers were being treated. The word was "fool" and he hated being treated like one!!!

I don't need and I don't want my ass kissed, but I want respect and will reciprocate when its given.

Sometimes there are "irreconcilable differences" and yes there may be a need for new reps. Personalities......

I think these posts are bang on. The comments could be interpreted as complaining, by some, because let's face it farming isn't as difficult as it used to be (taken on a 5-year horizon say).

Yet the attitudes of SOME who do business with farmers, are truly crummy.

              Where does this come from?

We are customers too as farmers, and we are business owners. For this priviledge you get to choose who you deal with and how you deal with them. It is a two way street, with many choices of behavior and reward. Or as my mother used to say: what goes around comes around in this industry matters because we get to be around for a lifetime, again if we choose, but relationships with suppliers are often longer than many service relationships, hence having good strong relationships is as important to the supplier as the the vendor, and indeed the farmer and the service porvider are both.
