Canola cut 2 weeks ago was 10.3 percent at 4 pm today . Did a headland and 3 hoppers, @3mph tough straw. Hard on fuel, hard on the combine, maybe tomorrow aft.

Canola under 10 by 5 pm, 8.4 when we quit. Heavy dew, straw tough, calm NO wind but wait till tomorrow, 60K!

Forecast predicting a hot drying week coming up. I furrow, I sawing half tons pulling propane tanks on Ring Road toward #6 highway, guess they are getting ready.

I hope most some pay attention to Klause obsevation's.
Our farm noticed the bigger seed but was unaware of the higher count until we got caught in the line at a cusher. After a delay in dumping I was in the grading wating room wating to be probed for Nexera canola. The guy/farmer, ahead of me ask the grader for his results on his Nexera sample. The grader suggested he was not at liberty by company policy (bunge)to divulge that info. By some quick observation and a short discussion his sample was 44.8% oil, which seem's to be average for 2014-15 canola..what do get paid for 41-42%? thank you Mr.farmer... and where is Sask Canola on paying the farmer for surplus oil content.. o ya overly quite!!!

I thought that under The Canada Grain Act a farmer has the right to watch samples graded and samples tested. That should apply to oil content n'est pas?

Our moisture deficient(during the growing season), swathed early(not all black because of it)canola has 42.9% oil according to the "unofficial" CGC Harvest Sample results...

Imagine the possibilities if it had decent growing conditions and was swathed later like I usually like to do.

Is this a "careful what you ask for" scenario?
