    started swathed canola, at 1.30
    test 10.1 , was done by 8pm , 9.6 moisture.
got tough quick. on next field

why all the straight cut canola.
does it yield that much better?
did some years ago and it was a wreck .

been scared to try it again ever since.

Straight cut canola might have a hard time drying the ground under that canopy. It could be a problem that nobody thought of.
Riders if you change your political views and treated Tom a bit better maybe the lord word be better to you.

I see a change in riders lately.

He has been thanking the Lord and ending with blessings etc.

It has to be getting better for him.

Shit, he will probably get a 400000 deduction for his farm soon as well.

The Lord works in mysterious ways.

I usually swath my canola, but the first three fields swathed blew around in the wind because the stubble was too short to hold it.

So I got the plane in and desiccated the rest. Nice to cut but a little nerve wracking.

I went from no straight cut canola to 2200 acres. A pretty big experiment.

I tried some standing, ummm... canola I think last night. 12.2 at 3, 11.4 at 7. I too am thankful for the modest crop since I was able to push 35' through at 7mph and make the return trip on a full mile. I am humbled by the blessings bestowed upon me.

Straight cut canola is higher in oil bigger seed. By weigh Eagan 4 to 6 bu an acre more in this area.

Fields you straight cut are a bit wetter yes... but now swaths are laying in water. That can't br good for quality.

New varieties don't shell as bad anymore.

We sprayed eith our high clearance some varieties didn't even she'll around the wheel tracks at 85% color change.

Canola in swath was 12.8 last night.
Gonna switch headers and go in the standing wheat today.
If it'll flow nice that's "dry" enough. Time to get this crop in the bin. Nerves can't handle waiting anymore.

Maybe Monday here for canola. Waiting to see a combine in standing soon. Standing wheat is a tangled MESS, and soil is saturated.

I've already had two bins of barley and a bin of canola try to heat this year within days of going in the bin dry. Not sure how much more borderline grain I want in the bin?
