Planted only one tomato seed. Yes, one. Her
name is Juicy and she has hairy legs. She almost
succumbed to drought when I went to Winnipeg
but survived. Spunky. Looking for a mate. They
start young these days, dont they.
I have so many perennials, I cut back on
annuals. Will seed on the weekend, and scare-
      start them. Pars

Need 10 Good Days, refuse to seed anything after the 5th of June. Looks like May 10 - 15 Start at the earliest. So out of 25 Calander days need 10 Seeding days. Going to be fun... 1 drill is still a drillcicle.

We average 12-14 days the last 3 years. Rolling by 6 am shut down by 9pm. If we had too, 10 days. But the last three years was easy seeding, very few potholes - never stuck. This water showing up will cut into alot of ac/hr due to turning, and lost time when /if we get stuck IMO.
So 10 good days, 15-20 bad??? Not sure?

Alone on 4500,my window is stretched a little bit.

The non farmer analysts in the producer are telling us
not to panic, but i have a tendency to think for myself.

Alone? Been there a few times its not fun. Hire a custom sprayer for less quality job. Rock picking neglected, ruts and washouts not cleaned up properly. Sure hope this new guy keeps on.

Lol.hope your not calling me a "new guy".

Live in the same yard i was born, cant even recall the
first day i was on a tractor, snapped the insiors of
piglets, pulled calves and rung chicken necks, just
always was, like most farmers, like my granddads
                  granddad.

Spred thin and doing a shitty job,you bet,but i do
enjoy raising my kids and spending time with my
wife.Maybe my boys wont run away from me when
                  they graduate.

Choices, time and energy are different for everyone.

Cotton, hang on to them like there is no
tomorrow. There is nothing like the love of your
son/sons. Mine are all professionals, but farming
still in their blood. There is not very many days
we do not talk, mostly about bobcats and trailers,
trucks and tractors, only now we have grandsons
too and the farm is OUR place. Soon to build
another hangar, another heated shop and pool
hall for the BOYS. Then we'll go there to talk
about tractors, .... And maybe girls, you think?
                    This is too much fun!

Cotton, time and energy are most valuable. So
you must be organized and the crop goes in.

                      Parsley, don't panic, its organic.

Takes me 5 days pre tillage and 5 days planting.
Usually the antiques run just barley long enough
to put the crop in. When the weed spraying starts
family goes to the lake. Negative reinforcement.

I'm not against it, just not doing it.
