Historicaly commodities are the last thing to peak before a depression. They are percieved as a hedge against inflation and realitively safe compaired to equities. Interesting ideas. It may be that gold is the only thing that weathers the crash. Even oil will likely come down. How many summer vacations will get scaled back because of high gas prices?
