      Why would commodities gold and land go up with the stock market down? Artificially low interest rates pumped up all these asset classes. Look at US bond yields if you want to know where its going.

        Dow down 850pts, canola down 13.50, wheats down, beans and corn down, crude down, doesn't look like money is moving to grain/food commodities.

                  Oliver88, I'm not to sure she ever really intended to raise them, she was just offering a bias to massage markets. How would have the U.S. ever been able to export anything, their dollar would have surged even more and our's would have gone to $.55.

                    And lucky for us canadian farmers that 55 cent dollar would have been hidden in the basis to get less for our product than any other country in the world.

                    Meanwhile paying world price for fertilizer, fuel and chemical that is made in canada in our backyard. And paying freight and exchange on it to boot.
