    Actually a sales tax is probably the fairest form of taxation going, and should be looked at. Wouldn't like it, but willing to carry my share of the burden.... as long as it has positive results.

        I guess the question is how much of the risk of farming should the govt be responsible for and how responsible producers should be for accurately assessing the risk of farming and dealing with that risk.

          We in Alberta historically
          are blessed with reasonable risk management programs for our Ag sector. I don't see this changing with the new NDP Gov.

          I do not see how any gov would/should/or easily could react any different.

          I say a job well done... hold the course... my city cousins don't need to cross subsidize our farms and create trade problems with international markets. Smell the coffee.
