We hit 23 today. Interesting amount of ash on the hoods of vehicles in the yard.

If I was an old timer i would probably bang the horses up to the three shank furrow plow and flip a couple rounds of sod round the ole sod homestead. But im more a young timer what u ole timers think?

I dunno what they would have done here in the woodlands. I imagine though that the many lakes and creeks slowed the advance of most fires if there ever were any.

And a lot was left fallow as well those days too???

Biglentil, you whippersnapper, sod houses don't burn that easy. Maybe the roof but the walls are kinda fire proof.

Choking on f*cking smoke all day here. Enviro statement says those with respiratory issues stay inside...how about we ALL got lung issues now! Like smoking 50 packs of Cigs today!

Finished hauling the last bit of canola today. So was out in it too, was getting a bit uncomfortable already.

Wonder how smoke does effect rain. Stuff on Bethune looks quick

I wonder if it did rain, how much nutrient value is in the particulate that is floating around?

In other news, JT wants to place a price on Carbon. Does that mean he will charge the forest for burning?
