Best help on our farm is my wife...

She can run anything... is gentle on equipment... breaks nothing... things burn less fuel and she still gets acres done.

She did all the nh3 and harrowing while I did the seeding and spraying.

Klause, you are one lucky guy. Where did you find her? Maybe we can clone her for Hopper. LOL

Mr. and Mrs. Klause would never make television. Too functional, working together effectively to accomplish time sensitive tasks.
mainstream society doesn't find real work entertaining.

Cotton, it just floors me how so very many have vacated this earth and what a void they left. Whenever you try to get anything fixed, it is almost impossible. Experienced fixers are almost impossible to find. BUTT there are a few!

hobby, that is funny, not "reality" enough for mainstream folks.

Klausette< is there any drama in the operation and who is the top performer?

klausette driving the semi in heels, half cranked on vodka, and klause barking out instructions from the cab of the combine, each with a cigarette dangling from their mouths. Miserable older neighbor always stopping over gathering intel so he has coffee row anecdotes. Small children at home, door locked, TV on Sponge Bob, cereal box tipped sideways on the kitchen floor as a self feeder...water bottles strategically placed around the house......waaait a minute.......when you point a finger.........

We used to take our kids in the tractor or combine, cooler full of bottles. Child abuse, I think that's called. Now we can't get this farming stuff out of their brains. They haven't figured out what made our hair white and very sparse.
