You can spend all the $$$ you want but if you seed to shallow on a dry yr.the germ is poor..This is the 3rd yr in a row our canola germ is better than the neighbors Chicken Hawk...Sure makes me feel Good..Him not so much...

First peas getting Odyssey for residual if/when rains.
Barley looks good, only touched by frost. One guys bly was fubar.
Wheat emergence good an roots in moisture but a25 bu crop if no rain in June.
Canola. What a mixed bag. Early seeded in area wiped out by frost or beetles if your emergence was good.
Later seeded fine unless a C shank drill and trash. Then poor densities.
If no adequate rain for June then not much to "price protect" at $497.
Feed will be dear if u need it. Cc pairs down a $1000. Pastures slim.

Hopper buy a garden HOSE or three, way less effort than pails! LOL!
Ya Free, my 17 year old $10,000 SS 5710 seeds just fine, $300,000 drill can do about the same, just less thinking required as you say...
