Another reason why land is valued the way it is in the frost prone zones in Saskatchewan.

Seed too early and you will have May freezing and seed too late and you will freeze out in late August or early September.

In 2004 the -5C frost came early the morning of August 20th.

I believe you answered it yourself twenty. The clover brings it up. We can also benefit from a crop that roots Deeper. Take the grain off and the straw remains on surface. The nutrients are there cause we all know a crop that roots deep is going to have benefits over the same crop that does not get there.

Oliver that is why sometimes it's better to leave a damaged crop instead of replacing. Klause my neighbour not in hurry is planting yet for first time. hey do some of them varieties have replantung ins? If so then the suppliers better get the seed.

How is a 1000ac farm reseeding 300 ac any different than a 10,000ac farm reseeding 3000ac. coffee shop loves it when a big farm takes a hit.
