    Kodiak,

Happened partially because the boards of directors sold out farmers interests to better themselves.

and some pools were mismanaged into the ground due to backwards thinking of members and boards.

So G3 owns 50.1% of the CWB. No one is being forced to do business with them. If you don't like Saudis, Bunge, their locations, people, whatever, take your business elsewhere.

Really, is there any company that would have been well received by Agri-Villians (Agri-Villans)?
Cargill? ADM? Any of the Canadian family cos?

As long as they're a bit of a new face, not one of the old hats in the ring, and for that I'm somewhat grateful (I think). Lets wait for more concrete details and passage of time before passing too much judgement.

That take your business elsewhere attitude isnt always the easy answer. There are some farming areas in Western Canada that really have only one viable delivery option due to distance to the next option. Oh well just haul it, and to hell with the "public" infrastructure and extra costs you'll incur....

Rubber to rail. Call in the Super Bs. If it's your choice.

A paltry 250,000,000 for half of the CWB. I would have given even an FNA proposal a chance to succeed.

Doesn't bide well for injecting some competition into needed rail changes, chemical supply; necessary seed inputs and all the other necessities. They've all been protected or attacked already.

Almost as though the status quo is being enshrined; but not even that....as we continue down the path of reducing options and limiting the day to day operating spheres of western Canadian farmers.
