Mid Seventies I hadn't gone through puberty yet, so I missed that opportunity. Mid Eighties(86ish) is when I bought my first land. Then some in the early nineties(91 ish), mid to late nineties (97&98) and again in 2004. No more since... next stuff will likely hold my weary bones. Lol

Personally, I'd rather see the people who are going to farm it own it.

Capital isn't a problem in Canada.
WTF this is about ownership of property by a foreign company.
        That's it that's all.

What so many don't see is that countries like India and China have governments that would gladly buy up every acre of land in Saskatchewan to feed their population. We are talking 2.63 Billion people. Once its owned by a foreign entity that it, never again to be owned by people whose forbearers came to this country to get away from being a surf for a huge land owner.

                Let them build railways....oooo-h.
                Terminal port facilities as well.!

Land, low cost, is it our only competitive cost of production advantage?

James we.would still have the right to tax them extra. Or even the right to take it away if taxes not paid. It is our country not theirs.

Simply there a lot of investors and farmers who are shitting their pants if land values drop a bit - these articles blaming rules on hindering land values are just a desperate attempt to try to keep the land market up. This kind of stuff happens just about every time there is a correction - ie : U.S. Housing , gold going to $200, soybeans going to $20 - it seems like a last ditch effort for those in play too late in the game - history repeats itself like many on here have said . Nothing goes straight up forever except debt
