I can believe this, as it happened with the DOW.

The last 5 years have been about chasing the QE and stimulus from one region to the next. The ECB will do something, it will fail and the shit will hit the fan. Deflation will occur on an unprecedented level.

Can somebody explain how the banking system survives deflation and how governments continue to function as tax revenues collapse and for shits and giggles explain how already under funded pension plans sink even further into the abyss without mass riots and people being strung up on street lamps?

It doesn't survive. The very act of not meeting those obligations is deflationary.

Perhaps this is the point in human history where we are subjected the "global gov't", gov'ts world wide will be able to print all the money they want to fund pensions, housing, infrastructure, healthcare, everyone's wage, maybe they'll even decide which vehicle is "right" for you. Global laws written for everyone, wages set the same for everyone doing the same job, a waitress makes the same in Regina, Chicago, Nairobi, Osaka or London. Grains, all the same price per bushel, gov't supplies the farm equipment etc.

Hearing a lot lately about "guaranteed annual income", also "large gov't payments" for every citizen, year after year, rather than bailing out the banks. Pay the people, then let the people pay the banks, if they don't they will lose their house and be on the street. Those that have a house will spend it on something else.

These ideas are very scary, but with a major meltdown like know one has every seen, you just never know! Just look at some of the ideas that come from the United Nations.

One way of looking at it is globalization was bound to level the standard of living playing field with the western nations losing the most.the last forty years built a debt fuelled Potemkin village.

If your board go to you tube and look up Christine lagardes little speech on the importance of the number 7.if your prone to conspiracy theories take a Valium it will freak you right out,if your a normal person it will make you scratch your head thinking what is that crazy bitch talking about.
