      Foragefarmer

They are lurking without a doubt for entertainment purposes.

Zero basis and arbritrage are interesting terms.

Foreign exchange is an interesting term with a 88 cent cdn dollar.

Same problems as when the cwb was in place.

Coast prices double that of the prairie price.

I am very niave to think they care about us or that there is any morality in unfettered capitalist businesseses dealing with us.

I was going to comment how the thread went dead.

              What do think farmaholic.

Are we better off today than 3 years ago?

Depends who you talk to. I've said the only thing that's changed is who we call Master.

X2, but CWB masters had no skin in the game and didn't give a dam what grain was sold for, #1 priority was get rid of it, some to lowest bidder.

Today all grain co's price/sell with profit to Co's as # 1 business priority. Either way the producer is not going to be in a good position.
We are many and divided, they are few and on same page/same bed?

As the bucket has highlighted several times, the thread is about basis. You can read what I said. Nothing more to add.

Strange in that I really like old expressions/adages. I really liked the recent one here that defined being a pessimist, an optimist and realist.

I'll add another from a presentation I heard.

Never piss in a well. You never know when you will have to drink the water.
