    Breadwinner. It happens all the time. In fact my neighbour is filling one of my contracts with Viterra right now.

    They won't change the contract to his name and the cheque gets made out to me, so it is kind of a hassle. But very doable.

      I agree with Lep. The other thing is I wouldn't tell them who's grain it is. Work it out with the farmer.

      The grain company only wants you to make good on the contract in the perfect world

        Hopperbin took over some tonnes I had left on a canola contract this spring... Viterra made out a cheque to him... they did need approval from head office to do it I believe... Hopper phoned them so I can't remember the details exactly.

          I did take over that contract which was higher than current price. Not sure why yet clause the price was not as high as you said. But price was higher than current delivery.
