      Do we spray fungicides because its warranted or because its fashionable. If they're used with impunity, we may end up with resistance issues liks group 1s. Their cost should discourage unnecessary over use.

        Only when conditions are favourable and the crop is heavy and time permits .
        Most farmers who dis spraying fungicide are too worried about being at lake

          I thought like you Furrow, thought it was overkill. I was taken up in a plane and saw for myself last year after being told that if you see the crop from the air, the unsprayed is brown underneath. After that, I had the plane spray half my wheat after it was headed out. The wheat that I had the plane spray versus that left unsprayed, well, I can say, I'm convinced. It ripened evenly and outyielded the other side by approx. 12 bus per acre and my fungicide got on later than it should have. Guess everyone decides for themselves.
